Payment Initiation Service (PIS)

The Payment Initiation Service (PIS) is a modern payment method that allows customers to initiate a bank transfer directly from their account via a third party, such as an online store. PIS requires no additional registration, and payments are processed quickly and securely. This approach helps reduce costs, simplifies the checkout experience, and speeds up settlement for merchants.

Integration Methods

Urbo offers two integration methods, allowing businesses to choose the option that best fits their technical capabilities and user experience goals:

1. Redirect

A simpler and faster solution. The user is redirected to a Urbo page where they select their payment method and complete the transaction. The entire flow is handled by Urbo, making it ideal for quick integration with minimal development effort.

2. Embedded

A more advanced integration. The payment method selection and initiation happen directly within your website, giving you full control over the interface and allowing for a fully branded experience. The user remains on your site until redirected to their bank, which helps build trust, maintain user engagement, and deliver a consistent design experience.
